San Diego Restaurateur Jailed for COVID-19 Fraud and Tax Evasion

Leronce Suel, owner of two San Diego restaurants, was sentenced to 42 months in prison for defrauding COVID-19 relief programs and tax fraud. He underreported over $1.7 million in income and misused COVID-19 relief funds, acquiring $1,773,245 through the Paycheck Protection Program and Restaurant Revitalization Fund.
