Two Mexican nationals in the U.S. on nonimmigrant visas were detained in Colorado last month while transporting ammunition. Caesar Ramon Martinez Solis and Humberto Ivan Amador Gavira were
- pulled over by Fremont County detectives in Canon City on March 26
- during a traffic violation for failing to dim headlights, improper signaling, and a defective license plate lamp.
Authorities discovered approximately 150 boxes of .308 and 30 boxes of 7.62 ammunition. Each box contained 1,000 rounds, totaling 180,000 rounds.
