Chinese espionage activities have allegedly infiltrated central London, targeting areas frequented by UK political figures. According to a report,
- Surveillance devices have been planted around Westminster, including pubs and park benches.
- The Red Lion pub and St James’s Park are notable sites of concern.
Government sources claim these areas are “full of Chinese agents.” Beijing is reportedly interested in targeting junior staffers and researchers, believed to be the “soft underbelly” of Whitehall. Other nations, such as Russia and Iran, are also allegedly involved in similar activities.
