Mohsen Mahdawi, a 34-year-old anti-Israel activist and Columbia University student, was arrested by ICE in Vermont while taking a citizenship test. Released by an Obama-appointed judge, Mahdawi allegedly enjoys “killing Jews” and is a supporter of Hamas. Despite being depicted as “peaceful” by left-wing media, he has called for the destruction of Israel and empathizes with Hamas terrorism. Mahdawi also honored a terrorist commander and was co-president of Columbia’s Palestinian Students Union. His detention was criticized as being due to his Palestinian identity.
