Canada’s Liberal Party, led by Prime Minister Mark Carney, is projected to lead the country for a fourth consecutive time after the federal election. Carney became Prime Minister following Justin Trudeau’s resignation earlier this year. The election came amidst tensions with the U.S. over Donald Trump’s annexation threats and tariffs. As of late Monday, the Liberals had won 161 seats in Parliament, compared to the Conservatives’ 150 seats.
