A 17-car accident in Austin, Texas, led to the arrest of semi-truck driver Solomun Araya on charges of manslaughter and assault. Despite a 0.00 Blood Alcohol Concentration, Araya failed a sobriety test, displaying signs of intoxication. The mishap claimed five lives, including two children. Araya attributed the crash to a vehicle cutting him off. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. Criminal defense attorney Alan Bennett suggested the truck might be considered a weapon of mass destruction. Araya, with a past speeding violation, is now held at Travis County Jail.
