Brazilian police thwarted a bomb plot at Lady Gaga’s concert in Rio, attended by 2.1 million people.
The plot was orchestrated by a group promoting hate speech and radicalization, recruiting minors for
- improvised explosives
- Molotov cocktails
attacks. The suspects, falsely claiming ties to Gaga’s “Little Monsters,” were exposed by a Cyber Operations Lab report.
Authorities apprehended the group leader in Rio Grande do Sul and a teenager with child pornography in Rio. The operation involved over a dozen search and seizure warrants across several states.
