Social media users fear a serial killer is active in New England after an eighth death was reported in Springfield, MA.
Between March and April, human remains, mostly women, were found in three states:
- Connecticut
- Rhode Island
- Massachusetts
This has fueled rumors originating from a Facebook group with 66,000 members speculating about a “New England Serial Killer.”
The latest deceased woman was found near a bike path. Her cause of death is still undetermined, fanning public anxiety.
