Six officials, including a county judge, have been indicted in Texas for ballot harvesting linked to Democratic campaigns. The investigation was initiated by Republican District Attorney Audrey Gossett Louis. Ballot harvesting involves securing absentee ballots through third parties, which Texas law limits and bans when using paid third parties. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton emphasized the importance of fair elections and accountability. The indicted individuals are: Frio County Judge, Rochelle Camacho – 3 counts of Vote Harvesting, and Former Frio County Elections Administrator, Carlos Segura – 1 count. Paxton’s office will continue collaborating with DA Louis.
