Voice of America (VOA) employees can resume programming and return to the office following an appeals court decision to uphold a previous order blocking President Trump’s attempt to dismantle the media organization.
The Department of Justice informed VOA that the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is restoring access to employee accounts after the March executive order was deemed “unconstitutional” in court.
- The order to dismantle USAGM aimed to reduce federal bureaucracy.
- A federal judge blocked the order, allowing VOA operations to continue during the appeal process.
